Rescue - June 2026

We recently assisted with a large scale rescue involving over 13 rescues across the region. Breeding had got out of hand and help was arranged to remove over 200 Guinea Pigs of mixed sex from the most filthy disgusting conditions.We had 6 boars from the group who are all making a good recovery,although they are healthy they are very timid.

Merlin & Arthur are the first pair ready for adoption.

Atlas & Caleb / Felix & Casper are still being socialised.

We recently took in 2 single boars who were in a very neglected state. We named them Alvin & Theodore and we were told they were 2. Alvin had horrendous skin issues ( long standing fungal) with injuries from biting and scratching.The owner had been self treating and had not sought any Veterinary treatment. Alvin was poorly and along with Theo transferred to our vet foster carer. They would have been suffering for a long time.

Alvin is making slow progress but is on his road to recovery. Theo was in better condition and is doing well.
